Please Note: The average sized female has a 7 1/2" wrist. Items You Will Need: A soft measuring tape OR a piece of string and a ruler. Using a soft measuring tape, measure the wrist/ankle adding 1” to the length. You want the bracelet/anklet to move with ease. If you do not have a soft measuring tape you may also use a piece of string and measure with a ruler adding 1”. Please Note: The soft measuring tape or string should hug the wrist or ankle but not too tightly. Children Size Bracelets Using a soft measuring tape, measure the wrist adding ½” for children under 2 years old and ¾” for children over 2 years old. If you do not have a soft tape measure you may also use a piece of string and measure with a ruler adding ½” for children under 2 years old and ¾” for children over 2 years old. Please Note: The soft measuring tape or string should hug the wrist or ankle but not too tightly. To help with children sizes you can go by the chart below. These sizes are approximate sizes only. 4” – newborn 4 ½”” – 3-6 months 4 ¾” – 6-12 months 5” – 18-24 months 5 ½” – 2 years 5 ¾” – 3 years 6” – 4-5 years 6 ½” – 6-7 years 6 ¾” – 8-12 years Once length has been measured with a ruler, please order appropriate size. For children, we recommend either an elastic bracelet or a lobster claw closer with an extender chain so the child can wear the item for a longer period of time.
